The basics:

Respect the land – clean up after yourself! NO single-use plastic. LEAVE NO TRACE

Be waste free: bring only reusable (non-disposable), natural (nontoxic) items to Kupalo fest

Drinking water is supplied and fires are restricted to the communal fire pits located on site.
What to bring:

Festive or ceremonial clothing or white clothes for Kupalo day

Reusable water bottles, sunscreen, bug spray, and be ready for any weather

Your tent/camper, sleeping bags, and anything you'll need to camp for the weekend

Snacks and food for in between meals. 3 meals will be provided during the festival: 2 on Saturday, 1 Sunday morning, and the nearest store is a 15 minute drive away

Potluck dish with list of ingredients for Friday night

Comfortable shoes for dancing

For anyone attending singing/music workshops, we strongly recommend bringing recording devices (cell phone/tape/minidisk/digital) in order to record lessons for later review

If you have a musical instrument, please bring it!

Camera (optional)

Flashlight - it gets quite dark at night

Warm clothing as it can get cold at night

Your bicycle! Optional, but nice for getting around and exploring
Accessibility Information:

There is uneven terrain and grassy areas not ideal for mobility devices at the airplane

Both the dance hall and the outside port-a-potties are accessible

In low light there may be areas that are harder to see

How to get to Garland:
Driving. Garland is located just off of Highway 10 between Dauphin and Swan River.

Rideshares
Check back here at a later date for a link to a carpooling / rideshare form where folks can seek or offer rides to Garland.
Train:
There is a train to Dauphin on Sundays and Tuesdays. You are welcome to come early and help set up the festival. We can pick you up in Dauphin. Please message us to make arrangements. Find the train schedule and tickets here: https://www.viarail.ca/
